A brief page about why photographs can be included: (with bits about me and my equipment etc in time!)

PLEASE NOTE: A number of the photographs on this website have been taken from what would normally be a ‘trespass’ location, please note ALL of them were taken either with permission or as part of a photo charter. If you’re not sure if a shot is normally trespass or not contact me and ask! Other photographers may seen trespass as something they can get away with or indeed should do, well good luck to them, I just hope the sake of the train crew they don’t come to greif…

The photographs included on this website have been probably because they fall into one of the categories below:

The sun was out, it looked good
The subject was newsworthy
The subject was unusual (to me, ie if I’ve only got 1 shot of a 367 and it’s a backlit station ned-shot then you’ll see it here!)
Finally, the catch all, ‘because I could’

This means that they’re not all superb photographs technically or indeed ‘exciting’ subjects, BUT they’re not intended to be, they simply capture a slice of history from the time they were taken. Whilst a lot of people make claims such as ‘I don’t do sheds’ or ‘I’m not taking that the suns not out’ I tend not to make such statements otherwise I’ll end up regretting not taking photographs of ‘run of the mill’ stuff as others before me have…
